Unfortunately for him, his boss's response is replaying in his head as he doubts his own value as an employee…No one should be made to feel guilty for only having so many hours in their week…He's done his job, and now he should get to be rewarded with family time. Regardless of that, we're not even sure a company is allowed to make an event mandatory if it doesn't provide some sort of compensation.
